As SEO’s we hear it time and time again: Content is King. Content is King. Content is King! Yes, we get it. I think in a business where links are getting harder and harder to obtain and flimsy blogs breaks under pressure or get indexed less, we all understand that content is important.
This year I have become involved with the implementation and execution of Public Relation campaigns for our clients at Thunder. In the past we have pushed out free Press Releases at a bare minimum, but now we are starting to delve deeper into the world of Public Relations and press releases galore. At first no one at Thunder knew the impact that more in depth PR would have on clients SEO campaigns, but in the last two months we have seen first hand the effect that a good PR campaign can have on Google rankings, reputation management and branding.
I always wanted to be the Red Power Ranger. Forget the utterly "girly" Pink or the “just sorta there” Yellow, I had to be the Red. I longed to be the strongest. Being a child of the ever nostalgic 90’s, I was a huge fan of the show that teamed up five teenagers in skin tight suits and pitted them against destructive monsters who they would in turn save the world from. The Red Ranger was the leader of the team, had the most powerful weapons and was the main character.
As South by Southwest draws to a close leaving a plethora of leather clad music lovers and tech geeks stepping onto planes off to their various homes miles away from Austin, Texas, I am left to digest what I have encountered over the past seven days. From the interactive conference that was held March 12-16, onto the music and film portion that continued until the 21st, I have been to countless parties, panels and shows.
